About the Author

John Kazyaka has lived a life of resilience, determination, and unwavering faith. He served in the U.S. Navy and excelled in Civil Service before thriving at Boeing. Despite challenges, he earned a degree and volunteered in worship art. He is a widower and has three adult children.

A retired E-6 Illustrator Draftsman with 14.5 years in the U.S. Navy, showcased his artistic talents by creating visual materials, including a float for the Coronado Fourth of July parade. Despite battling cancer, tuberculosis, and pneumonia, he transitioned to the U.S. Civil Service, advancing to a GS-9 Illustrator. Graduating with honors from Imperial Valley Community College, he later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University while working full-time. Post-retirement, he volunteered as a worship art provider and speaker at local congregations. His military service earned him accolades, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation from President Richard M. Nixon. He contributed to shipboard newsletters and church magazines, served as a junior editor, and navigated life's challenges, including widowhood and the loss of a son. Born in 1940, he overcame a tumultuous childhood, finding stability in military discipline, marriage, and family life across various locations.

Tell Them They Are Mine is a written testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of faith in overcoming life's obstacles.
